 Tahoe Park Food Scrap Drop Off

MOST Saturdays* from 9am-1pm (Summer Hours)

At the corner of 69th Street and 18th Ave in      

Sacramento, California. 

Drop off days will often include an unaccompanied food scrap bin. 

Please empty your frozen food scraps into the bin WITHOUT plastic bags (compostable or brown paper grocery bags ok). Remove ALL labels/stickers/rubber bands from produce before placing in the bin as these items are NOT compostable.  

*Please use the plastic bag provided for any trash and use the labeled bucket to drop off egg cartons and toilet paper tubes for composting.

8/14/21 we will be at Refill Madness located at 1828 29th St, Sacramento, from 10am-1pm. We will be signing new subscribers up for home collection service and also collecting community compost from this site in person.  

If you want to make a monetary donation in any amount to support our community composting efforts and needed supplies, please fill out our donation form.

Please bring your food scraps frozen to our drop offs, to help us reduce smell and prevent it from attracting pests.

If you have a rabbit, we would love their droppings and you can drop them off too.
